[ The frustration of denial was just setting in when the near explosion from where Kol was supposed to be - it causes her to jump, something she'd deny later. And there's an arm, an arm reaching out. For some reason she expected it to be covered in the same ash and grime she was, but it looks pristine - and it gives her hope. ]
Kol?
[ Cautiously she steps closer, unsure of what exactly to do in this situation, wanting to help him.
But she hesitates.
There were still the nerves that she might not know this Kol she brought from the ashes - he looked so different from the Kol she knew - would it be him or would it be Kaleb's body...?
She could cry, and she is a little.
Her silent question is answered when she sees the rest of him burst free for air she assumes at the way he gasps it in. And it's the very same face she'd seen in the photo back at the playhouse.
It worked.
Unconsciously she steps back again, playing some sort of game of ping pong between being close to his Resurrection bed and being pressed against one of the small tables in the room. Torn between wanting to move closer and reach out to him, to touch his face and feel what it feels like instead of Kaleb's. But the bigger part of her has her keeping a small distance - he looks like Elijah, he looks like an Original, and he looks like a stranger - a handsome stranger but still. ]
Kol...
[ She says the name, and for some reason it has a different taste to it now. ]
