[ So, Beacon Hills? The name alone would've done it, even if it hadn't been for the obvious and reoccuring signs of werewolves in the area. Commonly, there's a story to names like that. Especially if they're nowhere near larger bodies of water, or have any structure in them that might have ever served as a beacon for human eyes.

Naturally, in combination it definitely bears looking into. And unless anyone needs him anywhere (he's made a point of getting a phone so that in this fine century his siblings can actually reach him) he's got no reason not to investigate. ...anything to take his mind off Mystic Falls.

He's got a car rented purely for appearances' sake, and a hotel room, but there's something to be said for travelling light. After an evening of looking around the town, a day of scoping out rumors, he's now looking around the outskirts of town when the gunshots draw him out.

They're a little ways off, but not hard to locate at all. He's gone in a blur until there's blood in the air - and it isn't human blood either. Yes, this is going to get interesting. ]
