[ Only one mile into town and already she's getting a piece of the action. There's no place like home. Maybe most people would be completely put off by being attacked by a big bad Alpha wolf when stopping by to "visit family." Not Kate Argent. Nope. She couldn't be a happier camper right now.
She's already wounded the beast with her shotgun and is getting ready for another clear shot when... oh. There's another. A smaller wolf. It seems to be tracking the other. The aggressive movement definitely doesn't read as pack mate. Still. A wolf's a wolf and all rabid dogs need to be put down.
Kate moves to her trunk, whipping out her sniper rifle which is already locked and loaded with the Monkshood bullets. She barely takes time aiming. She's done this a thousand times before. She pulls the trigger, successfully wounding her target. She doesn't even need to fire a killing shot. He'll be dead in 48 hours regardless. The beast howls and disappears behind a building.
She cracks a cocky smirk and lowers the weapon. ]
Enjoy the next two days, puppy. They'll be your last.
[ She casually mutters, glancing down at her phone. She should probably call Chris at this point. Fill him in on the good news and... possibly give her a lift. ]
